Two-face
"Two-face" can be a really scary term to encounter, cuz it makes you think whether it decribes you but more often, it gets you thinkin whether people around you are... But it's since i thought of another way to look at the word... We all hafta be two-faced, don't we... Don't get me wrong, i don't mean de two-face as in bein hypocrite or anythin along that line...
We need one for others to trample upon and let ourselves know that we aren't as perfect as we think we are... It's de one that gets takes it all - all de criticism, wallopin and what not... Well de other's de one that you protect with all you've got (juz to exaggerate it a little), de one that is full of pride, esteem and shame... It's de one which makes us do de right thing even if no one is around cuz it's de face which we see in de mirror more often than not... It's almost a fine line between puttin up a show and bein able to stare that face right in de eye in de mirror...cuz if there isn't even any shame in puttin up a show at de right times, there isn't really much we can do to save ourselves... It's like watchin your teammates gettin their asses whooped and not even tryin to help...
Then here comes de line between tryin to help and lookin as if you're helpin... It's really clear in de scenario whereby everyone is cleanin up de place and someone comes along and say, "can you pass me de broom, if not i'll have nothin to do"... Yeah and so i'm supposed to be de one not doin anythin now...
Comin up is another issue altogether: Been thinkin about this for quite some time and i dunno if it's a flaw... I mean it most likely isn't much of a moral issue but people have told me it's gonna get me killed in de real world... Let's say i own a house, juz a normal HDB apartment, and when i leave de house, i juz close de doors without lockin up... Then izzit my fault for not lockin up? Or izzit that of de person who decides to go in for a cash buffet? Personally, i prefer (or rather, it's a habit) to leave my fate in others' hands, cuz i always think most people whom i've met and have yet to meet aren't as bad as humans have become, ironic but more of i-dunno-how-to-put-it...
"If you wanna do that then...ogay lo, i suay... There's nothin i can do anyway..."
I dunno how many times i'll say that till de day i get bitten so hard i learn my lesson...
