Never too tiring

This year has been a year of discovery for me... Since adult transport fare entered my life, i realised that We never know what we are capable of until we really try... To save transport costs, i've done away with many transfers and completed de journey on foot... From as short as 4 bus-stops to as long as 12, it's never too tirin to travel on foot, be it a stroll or run...

Durin de peak hours of 8am, de fastest transport is de mrt.. But with so many people takin it, i believe de next least stressful method is to walk... No jams nor stops to stop you every now and then..only de occasional red light and reckless driver who doesn't bother to signal and almoz run you over... I've been on buses so many times and it juz brings out de worst language in a person when you're in both a rush and a jam..and people are pressin de bell at every stop...

What about takin a cab... It wasn't that stressful until now, when de meter jumps at 20-cent rates as frequently as de previous 10-cent rate... And it juz doesn't help that expressways aren't exactly express at all... That's why we should turn to walkin or cyclin - save de environment, save yourself...

Anyway, juz watched Sicko on saturday at kiam's house... From de title it's easy to predict that it's about a guy hooked onto mass murder... But that's de wrong answer... It's a film by michael moore... In a way it is sick:
it is sick de way someone with broken bones can be dumped outside a hospital cuz she can't afford de fees...
It's sick how european countries do so much for de people's healthcare - eg. patients visitin hospital for free and de hospital has a cashier who gives out money to them to make sure they take a cab to somewhere safe...
How about 6 months paid leave and 6 months unpaid leave per year...
Or how volunteers for de 911 clean-up who suffered respiratory and other illnesses aren't even taken care of... In de end they received treatment at Cuba...while guantanamo prisoners are given medical treatment for free...
These are juz a fraction of de movie...

Anyway, i watched "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" 2 weeks ago... It's surprising an adult there doesn't know how many metres there are in a kilometre..and we're not talkin about some specialised field of study here... Takin a moment to think, maybe we can get some enlightenment from de fact that there's only one country officially usin feet, inches, pounds and miles...

Oh well, i dunno how transport ended up as non-SI units... But kudos to Michael Moore anyway...
