I always had this thought . . .
If people can live quite luxuriously already with 5k a month, and let's say i earn 10k a month... And let's say i keep 7k for myself, live life as it is and live life as if i earned juz 5k a month, and donate 3k every month..i'll be livin very luxuriously and someone else or rather so many more people can live much more comfortably... And considerin there are 999 more people doin de same, 3 million bucks will be donated each month... And all these exclude de ongoin donations that exist...
Come on stop kiddin me man, i know tonnes of people earn at least 10k a month and de figure will be much bigger than 3 million... Ok i think those who have slogged hard to earn 10k, it's good to squeeze de money out of de rich employers and spread de love, but you do deserve your fruits and you may be exempt haha...
How hard is it to cheat yourself that you earn juz 5k a month when you actually earn twice de amount... Yes very hard... And i guess it's conclusive that if that's hard, then it's impossible to donate 3k every month when you accept de fact that u earn 10k a month... Why do we want a 2-storey house when all we've got is twice de furniture and de same number of people..?
Yes don't kid me again - Singaporean families nowadays don't usually span more than 5 per household... So if u think about it, a 2-storey house can actually house 2 families, a 3-storey house can house 3 families, please do de math..and we don't have to talk about land shortage for another 10 years or more...
Actually this sounds juz like de 壹基金 by Jet Li, but in de Singapore context... And by de sheer number of richkids we have here and de mere number of populants relatively, 3k isn't a lot at all... Haha i'm soundin like some sales promoter who goes round and round and waitin for people to automatically get de point... And yes that's de point, people aren't automatic at all, especically when it comes to material stuff like $ $ $... Actually bein richkid is ok, but havin de richkid mindset and bein stuckup cuz you're rich is t(-_-t)... Those who have been in de service industry should understand best...
